2018 CALNOC Conference - Preliminary Agenda

The CALNOC conference brings together over 300 nurse leaders, executives, administrators and partners to collaborate and share collective knowledge in research, measurement, best practices to improve outcomes for patients, staff and hospitals. You will come away from the conference with a wealth of information to prepare for the changes in a sea of sometimes, uncertain waters.

One of the highlights of the conference is the many networking opportunities, allowing time to meet your fellow colleagues for inspiration and collaboration.  New and expanded content is being developed now by our conference committee and board - stay tuned for a complete program agenda to come after the call for abstracts.  The conference will offer you a combination of general session time, focused breakout sessions and interactive, fun networking opportunities.  


To help you plan, our preliminary agenda is as follows:

Sunday, October 21st:  

 Arrivals and welcome to beautiful and sunny San Diego!  Afternoon registration followed by our welcome reception on the pool deck.

Monday, October 22nd:

 Attend workshops and seminars on improving patient safety and quality, best practices from your peers and some wording on nurse leadership building skills.  Breakfast followed by our dynamic general session speakers.   Lunch and afternoon breakouts make the day meaningful and productive. Poster presenters will be available to share their research and knowledge on the leading, compelling topics enabling nurse leaders to chart their course with information presented by our esteemed speakers.

Throughout the day, visit our Partner and Sponsor Expo, conveniently located near the breaks and lunch buffets.

On Monday night, it’s all aboard for another networking event to mix, mingle, and enjoy!

Tuesday, October 23rd: 

Breakfast followed by thought-provoking breakout sessions. During lunch, enjoy roundtable discussions with like-minded colleagues, at the “Birds of a Feather” luncheon.  The conference concludes at 3pm after our final general session.

Interested in Continuing Education Credits:

Attendees of the 2018 CALNOC Conference may earn continuing education hours for satisfactory completion of the CALNOC Conference Evaluation. Attendees must sign in each day and include professional license number if required.  Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number 16465.
